All About UsThe company was formed in 1992 by a group of Shakespeare enthusiasts with a vision of presenting an outdoor production of one of the Bard's plays in the Farnham Library Gardens for a week's run each summer. The company also ventured out to present plays at the Redgrave Theatre in Farnham, now lost to us, and the Electric Theatre in Guildford. After a successful production of The Comedy of Errors in the summer of 2003, the Company faltered until the Autumn of 2006, when a few stalwart members of the FSC showed their determination to see the Company up and running again. The FSC now has an enthusiastic committee of nine who are keen to guide it back to its former prominence on Farnham's theatrical scheme. The re-launched Company staged a production of The Taming of the Shrew at the Bourne Hall in October 2007 to enthusiastic audiences. We have subsequently performed The Merry Wives of Windsor there in 2008 and Much Ado About Nothing in 2009. For more details of these and previous productions, click here. For various reasons it has not been possible to stage these productions in the Library Gardens, but in the summer of 2010 we staged our first performance at the excellent theatre at Frensham Heights. The larger premises contributed to the excellent production. We're moving on to better things! We always welcome new members. Find out more here
