Dear FSC Supporters

Rehearsals for this year's production of The Merry Wives of Windsor are now in their final stages; it promises to be a fine show which can be enjoyed by the whole family. The cast list is below. The play opens in the Bourne Hall on Wednesday, 29 October and runs until Saturday, 1 November, including for the first time, a Saturday matinee performance. The four evening performances start at 8pm, the matinee at 2.30pm. We hope that many families will come to the matinee as the cast not only includes many familiar faces but also several local children playing fairies.

Box Office details are available on FSCbookings@hotmail.co.uk or by phone on 01252 716342/315112.

Hilary Lee-Corbin is urgently looking for front-of-house volunteers. Please contact her directly on 01252 792398 or hilary.leecorbin@btinternet.com with offers of help.

Over the weekend of the 13/14 September, Farnham took part in the National Heritage Opens Days during which many historic buildings, not usually open to the public, were available to view. There were also many events presented by a variety of local organisations. The FSC appeared in the courtyard of the Bush Hotel performing extracts from our highly successful Shakespeare Revue which we had performed in June to great acclaim. It was a lovely, sunny day and we felt privileged to take part in the town's celebrations, and happy to have appreciative audiences for both performances. Our warmest thanks must go to Penny Cleland, our accompanist, who took us on at short notice and held the show together with great confidence and her accomplished playing.

I look forward to seeing many of you at the production later this month.

Kind regards
Ann Wake
