The
Chairman's April Newsletter
Dear FSC Supporters
This is more of a newsflash than a newsletter!
I should like to remind you of various things that
are coming up and which you might like to put in your diaries.
AUDITIONS
The auditions for this years production, The
Merry Wives of Windsor, take place in the Studio Room at the United
Reformed Church, South Street, Farnham on Sunday, 18 May and Sunday,
25 May from 3-5pm. Our auditions are, as always, open to anyone,
and newcomers are welcome. Ian Cullen is directing us again this
year. Audition pieces will be available in advance so please let
me know if you would like me to email you copies electronically.
My details are on this website along with lots of information
about the company.
THE SHAKESPEARE REVUE Friday, 20th
& Saturday, 21st June. 8pm.
We are in the throes of rehearsing the Shakespeare
Revue which is a collection of amusing songs and sketches originally
compiled for the International Shakespeare Festival in 1994. This
is a new challenge for us and was conceived as a fund-raising
venture for the main production in October. While I am sure it
will be a great evening, I sincerely hope we can rely on your
support. We are performing in the brand-new St Joans Centre
in Tilford Road.
FARNHAM COMMUNITY ARTS FESTIVAL
We are planning to take part in our local arts festival,
our contribution being a a reading of children's stories which
we will put on in Waterstones on the morning of May 24th.
It will be aimed primarily at children from 8-12 years although
we hope their parents (and others) too will stay and listen.
FINALLY - SUBSCRIPTIONS
Please could I ask those of you who have not yet
renewed your membership to do so as soon as possible; your subscriptions
are a vital part of the companys income.
Best wishes,
Ann Wake
(Chairman)
