The
Chairman's September 2007 Newsletter
Dear FSC Supporters,
4th
September 2007 - We have a play!
We
will be staging Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew"
at the Bourne Hall from Wednesday 24rd to Saturday the 27th of
October.
The rehearsals for our latest production, The Taming of
the Shrew, are going really well with lots of new talent in the
company as well as some familiar faces. The cast is being directed
by Ian Cullen who directed As You Like It for us over ten years
ago. He is an extremely exciting and creative director who encourages
and inspires the actors to reach great heights. Please don't miss
the chance to see the play. I've been at most of the rehearsal
and it promises to be really great!
The play runs from Wednesday,
October 24th until Saturday, 27th October in the Bourne Hall starting
at 8pm. Please come along in your numbers as a good turn out will
secure the future of the company which we hope will reach its
former glory as a 'must see' part of Farnham's theatre
Tickets for the production at
the Bourne Hall are available over the internet by sending an
email to the box office (fsctickets@hotmail.co.uk) or by phoning
07748 604680. Under 'Upcoming Shows' is a flyer with a booking
form advertising the show which you may prefer to fill and post
to the address given. Tickets may also be bought in person at
the office of Bells Potter Estate Agents, South Street, Farnham
from 10.00 until 14.00 ONLY on three Saturdays prior to the production
i.e. October 6th, October 13th and October 20th.
If you are unable to attend any
of the performances, we are also entering excerpts of the play
into the Woking Festival at the Rhoda McGraw Theatre. We are the
third act on the evening of October 11th. If we do well we may
even be recalled for the final evening. Your support would be
welcome.
We are still actively looking
for volunteers to help with Front of House during the play run.
If you are willing to help, please contact Hilary Lee-Corbin (01252
792398) or me (01252 713721).
I look forward to meeting many
of you at the Bourne Hall.
Ann Wake,
Chairman
