February/March 2011

Dear all,

The subject of this mail is not a misprint, it’s just that it won’t be long enough to qualify as a letter.      Depending on how long I continue waffling, it might only be a newslet.

Romeo and Juliet Auditions

Anyway – I am the new Chairman of the FSC and this constitutes the first of my duties after our first Committee Meeting for 2011.    There we decided we can finally reveal the long-awaited Audition Dates for Romeo and Juliet.     They will both be held at the URC (United Reformed Church, in Farnham) between 2.30 and 5.30 pm on April 3rd and 10th.     We hope many of you will come and take part, as the auditions are always a lot of fun.     Rehearsals are scheduled for Sundays afternoons and Monday evenings between May 8th and July 11th with performances in the week ending Saturday July 23rd.

Informal Play Reading

We will hold a very non-pressured reading of the play at Orcheston House, Broomrigg Rd (on a corner with Reading Rd North) in Fleet at 6.30 on Sunday march 27th.     Please do come along if you fancy it, there really will be no “acting” required, just reading.      If you do plan to be there, please email Jeremy Newton on Jeremy.Newton@TLawA.co.uk so we can get some idea of numbers.

Stage Combat

We will be looking to hire the services of a professional fight arranger to direct the two (or maybe three) main duels, as well as at least one gang fight, so anyone who fancies stabbing someone else with a rubber knife is welcome – male or female, clan rivalry knows no gender.   Well, not in the enlightened borough of Waverley, anyway.

We want this to be the best FSC production ever, so please put the word about to as many people as you think might be interested in taking part, on stage or off.

Till next time

Nigel
